Redis performs well with high concurrent visitor levels and automatically purges itself more effectively than FastCGI, which can be resource-intensive on large websites. Redis Nginx Page Caching ensures efficient performance without unnecessary complexities.
Redis Nginx FastCGI Caching
FastCGI is ideal for websites experiencing high concurrent traffic, where it outperforms Redis Nginx Page Caching. It’s also well-suited for sites with regularly changing content, like popular blogs, news platforms, or forums with active discussions and publicly accessible content.
For such dynamic scenarios, microcaching proves effective by updating the cache in the background whenever a visitor loads a page. This ensures that all subsequent visitors receive the latest content.
However, for most other situations where your website doesn’t encounter a surge of concurrent visitors and your content remains relatively static, Redis Nginx Page Caching is often a better choice, and it’s our recommended solution for most websites.
